About Home Study Courses

Take a NACE CE course. It is fast, easy, and you can receive your certificate of completion immediately.

NACE offers over 100 home study courses (many of which are online courses) for psychologists, social workers, marriage and family counselors, and substance abuse counselors. These courses are approved by the American Psychological Association (APA), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and other state boards and organizations. There are two types of home study courses: those that are mailed to you for completion and those that are completed online.

Instructions for Completing a CE Course

Purchase an online continuing education course.
If you don't have a NACE CE User Account, create a new one.
Your course purchase will show up on your personal "My Courses" page after you have paid for the course(s). Click on the link to start your course.
Study the learning material (if you purchased a course requiring a book or DVD it will be sent to you).
Take the CE test and answer all the test questions online. If you do not pass, you may re-take the test as often as you like.
If you achieve a score of 80% or better on the test questions, a certificate can be viewed on screen, printed, and stored in your CE User Account for future reference.

Return/Refund/Transfer Policy

We want you to be satisfied with every continuing education course you register for from NACE. If you are not totally satisfied, for any reason, we invite you to return the continuing education course materials within 30 days of purchase for exchange, credit, or refund, whichever you prefer. We will provide a refund or credit less shipping and handling fees if materials are returned in new condition. The original purchaser of this continuing education course is registered to receive CE credit. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing. Sorry, we do not offer preview copies of course materials or CE tests.

Complaints and Grievances Policy

Please submit any complaints or grievances in writing. This may be mailed, faxed, or sent by e-mail to info@naceonline.com. Submitted complaints or grievances should include: the name, address, phone, profession of person submitting the complaint or grievance; title of CE course; exact nature of the complaint/grievance. The Director of Continuing Education will make an effort to resolve the complaint or grievance to the satisfaction of the person who registered for the course. This may include issuance of a voucher for another NACE course or other action suitable to all parties.
