Learning Objectives:
The intimate setting of the conference will maximize learning and discussion and will enable endocrinologists to learn first hand from thought leaders in their field. Among the proposed objectives will be:

  1. review the incretins and endocannaboid system and their role in the pathophysiology and therapy of the metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus .
  2. discuss the diagnosis and new therapies for diabetic neuropathy .
  3. discuss the current status of inhaled insulin, insulin analogues and other delivery systems .
  4. describe the controversies surrounding sub-clinical thyroid disease and review both pre- and post-operative US guided FNA and tissue markers in thyroid cancer surveillance
