Target Audience: Rheumatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Nurses in Rheumatology
Learning Objectives:
The intimate setting of this conference will maximize learning and discussion and will enable rheumatologists to learn first hand from thought leaders in their field. Among the proposed topics and objectives will be to:
- describe the existing treatment options for the management of osteoporosis and a comparison of mechanisms of action and the administration of available bisphophonates
- discuss the evidence supporting the safety and efficacy of intra-articular hyaluronan for the osteoarthritis treatment paradigm
- discuss the integration of the biologic agents and the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic diseases
- review mechanisms including cytokines in inflammatory diseases
- explain the safety and efficacy of new biologic agents in RA and B cell and T cell therapy
- discuss new concepts in the management of anti-phospolipid syndrome
