Target Audience: Physicians specializing in rheumatology.

Program Summary:
The advent of biologic therapy has essentially changed the way rheumatologists are practicing medicine. New methods of assessment and treatment are changing practice modalities and reshaping rheumatologists’ practices. This CME program will increase awareness of these service options and provide a comprehensive plan for the rheumatologist to implement new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to improve patient care in today’s rheumatology practice.

This program is divided into two parts:
I. New Diagnostic Methods and New Treatment Choices by Marc Cohen, MD
II. Rheumatology Practice in the Post Biologic Era by Norman Gaylis, MD, FACP, FACR

Following these presentations, attendees will participate in a physician led discussion.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

1. Discuss new investigative methods for the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases.
2. Discuss and compare new and emerging therapies for the treatment of rheumatic diseases.
3. Discuss the management, development, and incorporation of new diagnostic services and treatment services, and other rheumatology office logistics.
