Program Summary:
Should We or Shouldn’t We? A Point-Counterpoint Debate on the Latest Practice and
Therapeutic Trends in Rheumatology, is a highly interactive, 2-hour, live point-counterpoint,
debate-style symposium. This CME activity will challenge clinicians and health care
professionals treating rheumatic diseases to determine where they lie on the spectrum of
practice management and disease management and to evaluate if they are providing
services and treating patients to maximize outcomes.
This two-part program will increase awareness of important issues related to new diagnostic
and treatment options and issues affecting the management of today’s rheumatology
practice. In Part I, Current Issues in the Treatment of Rheumatic Diseases, speakers will
discuss issues in the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. In Part II, Current

management of the rheumatology practice. The goal of each part of this program is to
provide improved health care services to patients and to improve patient outcomes.
