Program Summary:
Rheumatology of the Future is a three-part program designed to increase awareness of diagnostic and treatment options and practice economics. In Part I, New Diagnostics Methods, the presenter will discuss new investigative methods for the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases including MRI, CT Scan, ultrasound, and serological markers with the focus on testing done through the rheumatologist’s office. In Part II, New Treatment Choices, the presenter will explain and compare new and emerging therapies for the treatment of rheumatic diseases including RA, Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoporosis. In Part III, Practice Economics and Practice Building for the Future will discuss strategies for structuring a rheumatology practice for the future including utilization of ancillary services (i.e., infusion, MRI, physical therapies, bone densities, clinical research, lab, and products), staffing, and compliance with government regulations.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
