At the conclusion of this CME activity, the participant will be able to:
- Utilize data from the latest randomized trials of statins to promote atherosclerotic regression and decrease cardiovascular disease
- More effectively manage heart failure and understand indications and implications of biventricular devices and cardiac defibrillators
- Utilize the latest data to effectively treat patients with GERD and erosive esophagitis as well as those requiring the regular use of NSAIDS
- Evaluate, stage and manage patients with chronic kidney disease
- Diagnose anemia of chronic kidney disease and understand the implications of its treatment
- Distinguish Depression and Anxiety from Bipolar Disorder, and utilize effective treatments available
- Recognize when to start insulin therapy and identify ideal candidates for pre-mix or basal-bolus insulin
